All the folks here in New Jersey rave about the U-Pick strawberries and how delicious they are. As a child I remember many a summer picking strawberries as a family and then making jam, freezing them, and eating tons while we picked. Of course I wanted to give Janelle this experience. As you can tell by the pics she doesn't share the excitement I remembered. The strawberry she is holding is one of the largest ones we picked. Guess they haven't experienced Washington and California strawberries here. Oh and by the way, they weren't that great and the small box next to Janelle cost $10 "u-pick"!!!!!! I did make a homemade strawberry pie. They have "u-pick" rashberries also. If we are in town we'll do that experience, but Danny's rashberries at the lakehouse will be hard to beat.

From Early Relocation to Sams Club Some Assembly Required
You saw our post on the Office decorated in Early Relocation. Well, here is the new office furniture. It came in huge boxes from Sams club with "some assembly required". Now for those of you that have assembled a "swing set", you cringe when you see "some assembly required". Well it wasn't as bad as a swing set, but it was more than the "some" printed on the box! Taking votes.....Early Relocation or Sams club decor?
By the way, the Toyota Tacoma pickup has come in handy for hauling this new and used furniture! We replaced the knobby mud terrain tires with small truck highway tires and it is surprisingly tolerable to drive. It has had weekly hauling duties for furniture, moving boxes and other stuff purchased in bulk. Joni has exchanged her kidney belt for a crutch (to help her get around in spite of her aching bones!).

Happy Birthday Mick May 25, 2008
Today was Mick's birthday...and what a birthday it was. Five minutes before sacrament meeting he was called as 2nd counselor in the Sparta Ward Bishopric. Joni was called as ward organist, 2nd counselor in the Primary, primary pianist, and is filling in as Achievement Day leader. It is truly a 2 year mission. Notice Mick is having his cherry cream pie instead of birthday cake!

Computer up and Running
OK, I know several blogs are dated the same. But would you believe it took forever to get internet here at the house. One thing I learned was that when you buy a house, or rent in our case, you need to ask, "Do you get high speed internet here?" Who would think that only dial up was available only! Well we finally have high speed and we are up and running. I've been
shopping for furniture on craigslist and learning that if there is something you like, don't hesitate, get in the truck and go!!!! Still haven't found anything so the office is decorated in Early Relocation decor. Hopefully we will get a desk tomorrow so we can set up computers on some real wood.

Ostrich Farm found on Drive in Country

Janelle and I were out exploring a new way to get to the store. Low and behold, there is an Ostrich Farm just a few miles from the house. The day we went to get the pictures they were very excited that we had come and were running around in circles spreading their wings and calling one to another. Of course by the time we got the camera out they were through putting on their show. They sale the meat wholesale and to the public. We'll wait for our first visitors to try some!!
