Janelle and I were out exploring a new way to get to the store. Low and behold, there is an Ostrich Farm just a few miles from the house. The day we went to get the pictures they were very excited that we had come and were running around in circles spreading their wings and calling one to another. Of course by the time we got the camera out they were through putting on their show. They sale the meat wholesale and to the public. We'll wait for our first visitors to try some!!

Todd says that he ate ostrich meat on his mission, and he loved it. He said that is is really lean, almost no fat, and you have to be careful when you BBQ it because it will cook in almost 1-2 minutes, and burn easily. He also said it is weird because it is a bird, but the meat is dark like steak. Anyway, hopefully we will be the first visitors you can try it on. Sounds like you all are having a fun-frusterating time. Glad my mom helped me find your site.
